Judgment Day
People are going to judge you no matter what you do, so stop doing it for them, for the attention, for the views, the likes.
You can be the best apple farmer in the world, and people are still not going to eat apples.
You can work your ass off and come home to an unappreciative partner who says you’re too busy for them.
You can create a good life through discipline and stability and people are going to try and clown you for “working for someone else”.
The way you create a good life, is to do what you set out to do. That’s it. However you get there.
I’ve been guilty of it, thinking one way is better than the other or someone who’s got this is better than someone who’s got that.
Create the life you want. Who cares what the fuck someone who isn’t YOU, who doesn’t live YOUR LIFE, has to say.
Your journey is yours, my journey is mine.
Most importantly, don’t beat yourself up for your journey, if you feel it’s going too slow, or you’re far behind. Stop judging yourself and comparing yourself to others, to social media, to anyone who isn’t YOU.
Compare yourself to the you of yesterday, of last year, of the man you’re striving to be.
I’m not the man I want to be yet, but I’m a far cry from the man I was a year ago, let alone 2-5. Many people don’t know this version of me, many have their own version, and that’s perfectly okay.
You are the sum of your actions. Your Judgement Day can be every day, weighing what you did and said you would do and acting as you said you would, against the man who won’t.
Feel you brother! For the past month, I’ve been sitting in silence at least a few times a week meditating on what I wish I would of done different that day or basking in the subtle changes of a new mindset embraced. Judgement can be powerfully directed as you conveyed clearly. Cheers!
